Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a program to mark the 20 years of Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad on Thursday. He will then leave for Chennai, where he will lay the foundation stone for 11 projects costing over Rs 31,400 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) will be on a tour of South India on Thursday and during this he will first go to Telangana and then to Tamil Nadu. On this visit, PM will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of many projects worth thousands of crores in Chennai. But before that he will go to Hyderabad where Indian School of Business (Indian School of Business) will take part in the convocation ceremony.
About PM Modi’s visit today, officials associated with the Prime Minister’s Office said that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate 1,152 houses constructed under the Light House Project-Chennai at a cost of Rs 116 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban. He said the project uses prefabricated concrete construction systems as is done in the US and Finland.
PM had laid the foundation stone last year
The official said that for the first time in the country, new age global technologies, materials and processes have been optimally utilized in the construction sector on such a large scale. This is PM Modi’s first official visit to the state after the DMK-Congress joint government was formed in the state last year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of light house projects at six sites across the country on January 1 last year. Officials said the prime minister is regularly reviewing the status of the project, including drone-based surveillance.

He will then leave for Chennai, where he will dedicate to the nation the foundation stone of 11 projects costing over Rs 31,400 crore. This event will be held at JLN Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
PM Modi to attend convocation ceremony in Hyderabad
In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad today, Telangana Police is making tight security arrangements and for this about two and a half thousand policemen are being deployed. PM Modi will participate in the program to be organized to commemorate the completion of 20 years of ISB Hyderabad and will also address the students completing the post graduate program in 2022.
Around 900 students from ISB Hyderabad and ISB Mohali will participate in this event. Police sources told news agency PTI that in view of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the city, about two and a half thousand policemen will be deployed and all necessary arrangements will be made.
