Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) has benefited many farmers.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) has benefited many farmers. In this, financial assistance will be provided to the families of all those land holding farmers who have cultivable land. Rs 2000 is transferred in three equal EMIs every four months, April to July, August to November and December to March, in every financial year.
In this program, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) medium is used to transfer financial assistance of Rs 6000 to the bank accounts of farmers across the country. But do you know that the beneficiaries of PM Kisan scheme can also change their name according to the Aadhaar. Let’s know how.
this is the whole process
According to the website of DBT Agriculture Bihar, according to Aadhaar, a person can edit his name like this.
- To change his name as per Aadhaar, the farmer has to first enter the PM Kisan Aadhaar number in the option to change the name of the beneficiary as per Aadhaar in the farmer corner on the home page of the PM Kisan portal.
- After this the application will verify the Aadhaar number from the database. If the Aadhaar number is already being used, the application will ask the user whether he wants to edit the name or not.
- Then, if the farmer clicks on Yes, then the name of the farmer. Mobile number, sub-district, village and Aadhaar number will appear.
- Now by clicking on the e-KYC link, the farmer can complete the e-KYC. After clicking on the link, the farmer will be asked to complete the KYC process. And the PM Kisan database will be updated with the information taken from the farmer’s Aadhaar. The database will be updated with the details of the person such as name, gender, date of birth, home address, mobile number as per Aadhaar number and father’s or husband’s name.
- The status of linking with Aadhaar will be checked through NPCI after the completion of the e-KYC process. Then, if Aadhaar is linked with the bank account, the record will be forwarded for additional processing. If there is no status of linking with Aadhaar, then a notification will appear to link the Aadhaar number with the bank account.
