That means Paruli Devi will get pension after 69 years of losing her husband. She has spent almost her entire life in her maternal home.
When Paruli Devi’s husband left her, she was just 12 years old (Lost Husband Age of 12). After staying in the in-laws for some time, she returned to her maternal home. Neither the Indian leader nor the government took any care of him for so many decades. From the days of childhood till she reached the threshold of old age, she kept waiting for the pension (Paruli Devi Waiting for Pension) but she did not get this right. Now they have got the right to pension. He got this right only because of retired DSK DS Bhandari. The result of her efforts is that 69 years after losing her husband to Paruli Devi, the pension is destined.
Pension received after 69 years of husband’s death
Paruli Devi was married on 10 March 1951 to Gagan Singh, a resident of Devalathal tehsil. She was only 12 years old at the time. Her husband was serving in the Indian Army. He was martyred because of being shot on duty. Even after so many decades, the Indian Army did not take any news about him. He could not even get the right to pension. Now they have started getting pension.
Will get arrears of pension for about 44 years
According to DM Bhandari, Paruli Devi will get an arrears of pension of 44 years from 1977 till now, which is around 20 lakhs. At the same time, Paruli Devi says that the real entitlement of this money is her maternal uncle. Till now his family did not allow him any shortage of any kind. The family took care of him throughout his life. Paruli Devi’s nephew expressed happiness over the acceptance of his aunt’s pension. He said that after 69 years, his aunt is getting pension. At the same time, he is also sad that even after so many decades, the army did not give him the right to pension.
