The situation is that people in Jaipur are struggling to get oil in their vehicles amid the shortage of petrol and diesel. The situation is worsening due to the crowd at almost all the petrol pumps in Jaipur. In such a situation, the local police has to handle the front. Petrol and diesel at the HPCL and BPCL pumps in Jaipur also started running out on Tuesday and by the end of the evening, most of the pumps in the city became dry. In such a situation, there was a huge crowd of people at the petrol pumps of IOCL late at night. After which there was a situation of jam on the roads. In such a situation, information was given to the local police and petrol was given at the petrol pump in the presence of the police. However, during this time not all people could get oil.
What is the reason for the shortage of petrol and diesel?
In fact, after the Central Government reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel, the oil companies have reduced the supply. State President of Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association Sunit Bagai said that the main reason for this is the closure of petrol pumps of Reliance and Essar for about two weeks. Due to the closure of the petrol pumps of these companies, the burden came on the petrol pumps of other companies. Another reason for the shortage is the reduced supply from India and Hindustan Petroleum Company. According to Bagai, only Indian Oil Company is giving full supply in the state. One reason for this crisis has also been given that the losses being incurred by the petroleum companies are increasing continuously and due to this the companies are giving less supply.
