How will farmers get the benefit of e-shram scheme?
Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India (Ministry of Labor and Employment) e-Shram Portal on 26 August 2021 (E-Shram Portal) was launched. The e-shram portal was started with the aim of making records of crores of unorganized sector workers of the country and providing them the benefits of all government schemes. An e-shram card from the Ministry of Labor and Employment to all those who register on the e-shram portal. (E-Shram Card) is also being issued. According to the information given by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, more than 25 crore people across the country have registered themselves on the e-shram portal.
Benefit of free insurance of Rs 2 lakh under e-shram scheme
Under the e-shram scheme, free insurance of Rs 2 lakh is being provided to the workers of the unorganized sector who have registered themselves on the e-shram portal. Under this scheme, the Government of India will also help crores of farmers of the country. But, the number of such farmers is also very high, who will not be able to take advantage of this scheme.
According to the news of Jansatta, according to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, under this scheme crores of laborers of the country associated with the unorganized sector like migrant laborers, street vendors, domestic workers, agricultural laborers etc. will get the benefit of government schemes. Apart from these, the farmers who do labor work or those farmers who do not have land to cultivate, they will also get full benefit of this scheme.
Not all farmers will get the benefit of the scheme
However, this does not mean that all the farmers who have registered on the e-shram portal will be able to get the benefit of this scheme. Let us inform that the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh had announced to give 500 rupees per month to the workers of the state under the e-shram scheme. The UP government has also sent 1000-1000 rupees to the workers registered on the e-shram portal in their bank accounts for two months.
According to the news, such farmers of Uttar Pradesh will not be able to take advantage of this scheme, who are already taking advantage of any government pension scheme or PM Kisan Yojana. In Uttar Pradesh, even monthly installment of Rs 500-500 is not being given to the farmers who are availing benefits through pension scheme and PM Kisan Yojana. Whereas, 500-500 rupees are being given to all the other registered workers.
