Night curfew in Chandigarh too
Chandigarh administration has decided to impose night curfew in this union territory from 10 am to 5 am in the wake of increasing cases of corona infection. An official said that this night curfew will be applicable in Chandigarh from Wednesday. Chandigarh Administrator VP Singh Badnore has directed the police to ensure strict observance of the night curfew. Also, the hospital authorities have been asked to get all the health workers vaccinated as soon as possible.
According to the official press release, “Night curfew will be imposed in Chandigarh from 10 am to 5 am in view of increasing cases of corona infection.” Badnore said that measures such as imposing curfew and closing of crowded places can also be considered later this week if people are negligent. After the arrival of 319 new coronavirus cases in Chandigarh, the number of positive cases in this union territory has increased to 28,798. At the same time, after the death of two more people, the number of deaths increased to 386.
Transition is increasing in Punjab and Haryana as well
Simultaneously, cases of infection are also increasing rapidly in Punjab and Haryana. As per the data, after 2,924 new cases were reported in Punjab, the number of positive cases in the state has increased to 2,57,057, while the number of deaths increased to 7,216 after the death of 62 more patients. After 2,099 new cases a day in Haryana, the number of infected people increased to 3,02,272. At the same time, after the death of nine more people, the death toll has risen to 3,208.
Night curfew implemented in Delhi from today
At the same time, in view of the increasing cases of corona, a night curfew has been imposed in Delhi. This night curfew will be in force from tonight till 30 April every night from 10 am to 5 pm. In view of the imposition of the night curfew in Delhi from tonight, now only those passengers who fall in the ‘essential category’ as per the orders of the government will be able to get admission in the metro from 10 am to 5 am. Along with this, their valid ID (Valid ID) will also be checked on behalf of DMRC / CSTF personnel. The government has taken this step after Corona reported about 4,000 cases every day.
