Bahadur Ali alias Saifullah Mansoor, a Pakistani terrorist from Laskar e Taiba, hatched a big conspiracy to carry out terror attacks in India.
A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday sentenced a Lashkar terrorist to ten years of rigorous imprisonment. Pakistani terrorist Bahadur Ali alias Saifullah Mansoor of Lashkar-e-Taiba had hatched a big conspiracy to carry out terror attacks in India.
The case was registered by the NIA on 27 July 2016 in New Delhi. A major conspiracy was hatched by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to carry out terrorist attacks in India. Under this conspiracy, Bahadur Ali along with his two colleagues Abu Saad and Abu Darda had illegally infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir by trained Lashkar terrorists. He had made an intention to spread panic in various places in India including the national capital Delhi. He was instructed by Lashkar terrorists based in PoK.
The convict Bahadur Ali was arrested on the 25th day of lit. He was arrested from Yahma Mukam village in Kupwara district. A large amount of arms and ammunition were seized from him. The seized material included AK-47 rifle, UBGL, ammunition, hand grenade, UBGL shells, military map, wireless set, GPS, compass, Indian currency, fake Indian currency note etc.
Bahadur Ali revealed the planning of Lashkar
During the investigation, Bahadur Ali spoke about the recruitment of Lashkar, all the training camps, arms training to terrorists, explosives, wireless sets, night vision devices, GPS, grid reference etc. and to motivate the newly recruited cadres Revealed about the modus operandi. At the same time, on behalf of the leaders of Jihad and Lashkar, they also gave details about terrorist incidents in India and the launching pad of Lashkar in PoK. The NIA filed a charge sheet against Bahadur Ali in the case on 6 January 2017.
NIA also arrested two people of Jammu and Kashmir
However, later two Pakistani LeT terrorists Abu Saad and Abu Darda were killed during an encounter in Kupwara district on 14 February 2017. During the investigation, two Jammu and Kashmir residents Zahoor Ahmad Pir and Nazir Ahmad Pir, who supported Bahadur Ali, were arrested. Trial is going on in the case against these accused.
