Amidst the decreasing cases of Corona, it has been announced by the Railways to start many trains. Some of these trains are also to be run as superfast summer special trains.
The operation of Silchar-Guwahati Special Superfast will start from Tuesday.
With the reduction of COVID-19 infection cases, the restrictions imposed in various parts of the country are being reduced. Along with this, the Railways is also moving towards restoring its services, so that more and more people can get the convenience of traveling. In this sequence, Railways has now announced new trains as well. The Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) has announced to run a new special train between Silchar and Coimbatore on Wednesday evening. This train will be started from next week. This special superfast express train will run from Silchar on Tuesday. Whereas, in return this train will run from Coimbatore every Sunday.
This train running between Silchar and Coimbatore will have 23 coaches. Of these, there will also be two-tier AC, 4 three-tier AC coaches. The maintenance work of this train will be done at Silchar and Coimbatore railway stations only. This train will run between Silchar and Guwahati via Barapur, New Haflong, Maybong, Lumding and Hojai.

The announcement of this superfast special train on the railway side has been made at a time when the effect of the second wave of coronavirus is decreasing across the country. There has been a decrease in the number of new infections every day. Due to COVID, the railways has reduced the running trains. Due to the number of passengers in many trains, they have been stopped. However, now some of these trains are being restarted.
- Train No. 05903 Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Special Train: This train is being started from 5th July 2021. This train will depart from Dibrugarh at 08:05 every Monday and arrive Chandigarh at 13:20 on Wednesdays. In return, this train will run from Chandigarh with the number 05904. In return direction from Chandigarh this train will run every Wednesday at 23:20 and will reach Dibrugarh at 07:55 AM on Saturday.
- Train No. 05630 Sealghat Town-Tambaram Special Train: This is also a special train, whose operation will be started from 25 June 2021. From Sealghat Town Railway Station, this train will depart at 10:5 hrs on Friday and arrive Tambaram at 21:25 hrs on Sunday. In return direction, the number of this train will be 05629 and will depart from Tambaram Railway Station at 18:55 hrs from June 28. This train will reach Sealghat at 4 am on Thursday.
- Train No. 02515 Silchar-Coimbatore Superfast Special Train: This train is being started from 22 June 2021. This train will leave Silchar on every Tuesday at 20:10 PM and will arrive Kayambur at 12:00 PM on Friday. In return the number of this train will be 02515. In return direction, this train will leave Coimbatore at 21:45 hrs on Sunday and reach Silchar at 16:50 hrs on Wednesday.
- Train No. 06185 Trivandrum-Guwahati Superfast Summer Special: This train will run four times from June 19 to July 10. This train will leave Trivandrum at 18:00 PM on Saturday and reach Guwahati at 09:00 AM on Tuesday. In return the number of this train will be 06186. From June 23 to July 14, this train will run 4 times. In return direction, this train will leave Guwahati at 06:45 AM and will reach Trivandrum at 23:10 PM on Friday.
