Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday released the Framework and Coffee Table Book to implement the ownership plan at the nationwide level. He also addressed states and other stakeholders on the occasion.
The framework coverage of the ownership plan developed by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj has included guidelines and roadmap under the scheme for various states. In which various components are included. Under which the objective of the scheme, financing methods based on the year, survey methods and methodology, stakeholders, responsibility, monitoring and evaluation, etc. have been included.
The Coffee Table Book on Proprietary Plan is an effort that gives a glimpse of the various challenges and success stories and provides a way forward. Through which an attempt has been made to compile the vast efforts of various stakeholders involved in the implementation of the scheme, its experience and good efforts.
Property cards will be made available to rural residents
Tomar was also informed that property cards have been distributed in more than 7400 villages and more than 7,00,000 beneficiaries across the country have been benefitted from the scheme. Through this scheme, property cards will be made available to rural residents, which can be used to take loans and create accurate land records for rural planning.

The virtual medium in this event is Revenue and Panchayati Raj Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA), Survey of India (SOI), Department of Land Resources (DOLR), Ministry of Defense (Revenue and Panchayati Raj of all States / Union Territories). Launched nationally last month
The ownership plan is a centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Which was launched nationally by the Prime Minister on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day on 24 April 2021 after successful completion of the pilot phase of the scheme in 9 states. The objective of the ownership plan is to provide property rights to the residents settled in rural areas in India using drone survey and core network. Which provides mapping accuracy up to 5 cm.
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MOPR) is a nodal ministry for the implementation of the ownership plan. The revenue department / land records department will be the nodal department in the states and the state will carry forward the scheme with the cooperation of Panchayati Raj departments.
