Mother Kushmanda, the creator of the universe, is worshiped on the Chaturthi date of Navratri. According to Hindu mythology, she was born before the universe came into existence. He created the Sun, Moon and other planets with his smile.
Mata Kushmanda rides a lion and is depicted with a bow, arrow, kamandal, lotus, trishul, chakra and other important objects in eight hands.

The name of Mata Kushmanda is made up of three words- Ku means ‘small’, Ushma means ‘heat or energy’ and Anda means ‘egg’. It means who created this universe in the form of ‘little cosmic egg’. The devotees who worship him are bestowed with happiness, prosperity and disease free life.
Navratri 2021 Day 4: Worship Method
Take a bath on this day and wear clean clothes.
Offer vermilion, bangles, kajal, bindi, comb, mirror, red chunari etc. to the mother.
Offer malpua, curd or pudding to the mother as prasad.
