Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij took a jibe at Punjab Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu’s silent fast. He said that if Sidhu observes a fast of silence on a permanent basis, it will bring peace to the country and the Congress. Minister Vij has called Congress a sinking ship, while in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, farmer leaders have also been advised to be patient. He has also advised the farmers of Haryana not to burn stubble, calling them sensible.

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has sat on a silent fast till the culprits of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident are arrested. On this, Minister Anil Vij said that if Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is engaged in his action in Lakhimpur Kheri, observes a permanent silence, then both the Congress and the country will get peace.

Government taking fair action in Lakhimpur case

Angry over the non-arrest in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, the United Kisan Morcha has announced a rail roko demonstration on October 18. Reacting to this, Home Minister Anil Vij said that the Uttar Pradesh government is taking fair action on the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. The matter is being investigated. He called upon the farmers to be patient in this matter. He said that farmers should work patiently in this matter.

Arvind Kejriwal has advised the Haryana government to provide inactive stubble solution to the farmers like the Delhi government. On this, Home Minister Vij retaliated and said that the farmer of Haryana is very intelligent, the farmer of the state understands the damage caused to the soil and environment by burning stubble. The Haryana government is also continuously making the farmers aware about not burning the stubble.
