Nasik Oxygen Leak: Compensation of Rs 5-5 lakh has been announced in the case of death of 22 people due to falling oxygen supply pressure at Zakir Hussain Municipal Hospital in Nashik, Maharashtra (Maharashtra). It is being told that the incident happened when the oxygen was being refilled from the tanker to the tank. During this time there was no technician present and then oxygen started leaking. During the oxygen leak, there were 23 patients on the ventilator, whose oxygen supply was interrupted. 22 patients died due to lack of oxygen.
In the case of the death of 22 people, the help of Rs.5 lakhs has been announced by the Chief Minister’s office. Along with this, the assistance of 5-5 lakhs has also been announced by the Nashik municipality.
PM Modi expressed condolences
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences on this incident. He tweeted and wrote, “Due to the oxygen tank leak in a hospital in Nashik, the accident is heart-wrenching. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, “The news of the deaths of patients at Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik is very sad. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. I appeal to the state government and party workers to provide all possible assistance. ”

Declaration of high level inquiry
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced a high-level investigation into the deaths of 22 people due to lack of oxygen after the leakage in the storage tank. He assured that no one will be spared. On behalf of the Chief Minister’s office, it has been announced to give Rs. 5 lakhs to the families of the deceased. Along with this, the CM has requested not to do politics on this issue.
