These routes of Mumbai Metro connect Andheri’s DN Nagar to Dahisar West and Andheri East to Dahisar East. The security check of metro trains running on these routes has been completed. Only the security check of the metro track is left. After this investigation, you will get a security certificate from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety. After this, metro trains will start running on the tracks for Mumbaikars. It will only take a few days for this process to be completed. After this, there is every possibility that from the month of March, metro trains will start running on both these routes.
After the start of these two metros, the traffic problem is likely to be reduced by 10 to 15 percent. Apart from this, the congestion of local trains will also be reduced to a great extent. This is the reason why common Mumbaikars are eagerly waiting for the running of these two metros.
Metro trains pass the safety test, the safety check of the metro track is still pending
Certificates related to ‘Research Design and Standard Organization’ (RDSO) have been issued for both these routes of Metro in the month of January. These certificates are given in two phases. According to their conditions, the security related investigation of metro trains has also been completed. Now only the security check of the metro track of these two routes is yet to be completed.
10 metro trains ready to run, man power is also waiting for duty
10 metro trains are standing ready to run on these two routes. The manpower required for the operation of metro trains has also been kept ready. The investigation of these trains has started for the last several months. Now their investigation has been completed and they are fully ready to run on the track.
In the first phase, the responsibility of administration and operation of the metro has been given to an independent organization. This organization working under the authority of MMRDA has also made arrangements for necessary manpower. Their training has also been completed. That is, man power is also now ready to work at full capacity.
