UP police team from UP’s Ropar Jail to Bahubali leader and Mafia don Mukhtar Ansari finally reached Banda jail. The police convoy reached Banda jail with Mukhtar Ansari under tight security at around 4.30 am in the early hours of Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday, UP police had left Ropar jail in Punjab at 2.20 pm for Mukhtar Ansari for UP’s Banda jail.
After coming to jail, the barrack number 15 of Banda jail will be the new home of Mafia Don Mukhtar Ansari. The movement of other prisoners has been banned in barrack number 15 and three security personnel will also be posted inside the barrack. CCTV cameras have been installed in the barracks of the jail, so that Mukhtar can be monitored from moment to moment. Keeping the security in mind, the big trees of the jail have been pruned. Along with this, Mukhtar Ansari will also be monitored from the buildings around the jail.

This entire operation was led by the UP Police. At the same time, Banda’s jail was converted into a police camp with regard to Mukhtar Ansari. Also, on the demand of Banda jail administration, additional soldiers were deployed in the jail premises. Earlier on Monday, a team of Banda Police, armed with sophisticated weapons, had gone to pick up Mukhtar Ansari in Punjab’s Ropar District Jail. In this team, apart from a company PAC, about 80 police personnel and officers were involved. The team was headed by Premaprakash, Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Prayagraj, and Satyanarayana, Inspector General of Police (IG) of Chitrakootham Range Banda.
For the last time, Mukhtar Ansari was lodged in Ropar Jail in Punjab in a case. To bring Mukhtar Ansari, the case went on till the Supreme Court between the UP government and the Punjab government. On March 26 last month, the court, while giving the verdict, ordered Mukhtar Ansari to be sent to Uttar Pradesh.
