More than 50 percent people in the country fully vaccinated, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said – unitedly we will defeat COVID-19

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Sunday that it is a moment of pride that more than 50 percent of the eligible population is now fully vaccinated. He said that we will win the fight against COVID-19 unitedly.

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 127 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been applied in the country. Of these, at least one dose has been administered to 79.90 crore people and both doses have been administered to 47.71 crore people. On Saturday, 1.04 crore vaccine doses were administered across the country. The important thing is that the number of people who got the second dose in it is 75.12 lakhs. Even before this, the number of vaccinations in a day has crossed 1 crore many times.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “One crore vaccines of COVID-19 were administered in India today (Saturday). The Har Ghar Dastak campaign is going on in full swing. The world’s largest vaccination campaign is scaling new heights and making new achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the government data, in the month of November on an average 59.32 lakh doses of vaccine were being administered per day while in May an average of 19.69 lakh doses were being administered per day. Officials said that about 84.8 percent of the adults of India’s population have been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 50 percent of the adults have also received the second dose.

More than 21.13 crore doses available with the states

According to the Ministry of Health, the central government has so far provided more than 138 crore doses of the vaccine to the states and union territories. This includes over 21.13 crore additional and unused doses, which are to be administered.

On Sunday, 8,895 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country. After this, the total number of infected people increased to 3,46,33,255. At the same time, the number of active cases has come down to 99,155. The daily infection rate was 0.73 percent, which has remained less than two percent for the last 62 days. So far 4,73,326 people have died due to COVID-19 infection in the country. In the new figures, there have been 2,796 death cases, in which 2,426 old deaths have been added to Bihar.
