At the same time, experts say that monsoon can also be one of the reasons for the increase in corona cases. At the same time, experts have also expressed concern after seeing the speed of increasing cases of corona. Recently, patients with sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 of Corona have been found in Maharashtra.
Cases are increasing in 9 districts
The state government says that the number of corona cases is increasing rapidly in 9 districts of the state. This includes Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Raigad and Palghar districts. Due to the continuous increase in cases, the number of active cases in the state has increased seven times in a few days. In view of the increase in corona cases in Maharashtra, the central government has also expressed concern.
Mask not mandatory but necessary
State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Saturday that the state government has not yet made masks mandatory. But people have been appealed to use masks as a precaution in closed places. He was referring to a three-page letter written on Friday by the state’s Additional Chief Secretary Dr Pradeep Vyas to all local municipal bodies, stating that closed public places- trains, buses, cinema halls, auditoriums, hospitals, colleges and Masks are required in school.
