Shahabuddin, a former MP from Bihar’s Bahubali and RJD, died from Corona on Saturday (Mohammad Shahabuddin Death). He was serving a life sentence in Tihar Jail in connection with the murder. Sahabuddin, who is known as Bahubali leader, has been a big name in the world of crime. Shahabuddin had joined the world of crime since 1986 at the age of only 19 years. After which he also became a big name for active politics at the age of 24-25 years.
The beginning begins when Shahabuddin, a resident of Pratappur, who comes to the Ziradei Assembly, had to plead in one case to then-MLA Dr. Captain Tribhuvan Narayan Singh in one case. Tribhuvan Narayan won the election on a Congress ticket in 1985 and became an MLA. Tribhuvan Narayan Singh said that I will not advocate for miscreants and criminals. After this incident, Shahabuddin had to go to jail in a criminal case. After this, in the 1990 assembly elections Shahabuddin decided to contest as an independent and defeated Captain Tribhuvan Narayan Singh Ho. It is said that Shahabuddin had adopted all the tricks to win this election.
Lalu Prasad Yadav got a lot of support
After 5 years of MLA Shahabuddin got along with Lalu Prasad Yadav. Shahabuddin, along with Lalu Prasad Yadav, captured Muslim-Yadav voters, which led to a major victory for the Janata Dal in the 1991 Lok Sabha elections. In the 1995 assembly elections, Shahabuddin landed from Jiradei for the second time on the ticket of Lalu Prasad’s party Janata Dal. Due to which 1995, he became MLA for the second consecutive time. The Lok Sabha elections were held a year later in 1996. The RJD gave Shahabuddin a ticket from Siwan and he reached the Lok Sabha after registering victory.
Sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007
Shahabuddin used fear to break the dominance of the left parties in his area. Chhote Shukla was an important leftist leader. Shahabuddin targeted Shukla in February 1999 and kidnapped her and killed her. Shahabuddin contested 2004 Lok Sabha elections on RJD ticket again and became MP for the second time. At the same time, Shahabuddin was found guilty in the Shukla murder case and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007. After this Shahabuddin was banned from contesting elections.
Putting your wife in the electoral arena
Even after this, Shahabuddin also fielded his wife Heena Shahab in elections twice (2009 and 2014), but she lost both times in order to maintain her vigor in politics. He was serving a life sentence in Tihar Jail in the case of Shahabuddin murder. After which he died of corona in a hospital in Delhi on Saturday.
