Expressing opinion about Modi’s foreign policy, the External Affairs Minister said that the Prime Minister has personally received a lot of respect. Jaishankar said that the Prime Minister’s language, dress, manner and habits present an image which is appreciated by the whole world.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar (External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar) has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is very clear that he will not tolerate terrorism at all, especially cross-border terrorism. He said that this determination of PM Modi has helped Pakistan (Pakistan) from the year 2014.PakistanIndia’s policy towards Jaishankar, in a book titled Modi20: Dreams Meet Delivery, recalled the instructions of Prime Minister Modi when he was on his way to a SAARC visit in 2015 after being appointed foreign secretary.
The Foreign Minister has written in the book that the Prime Minister told me that he has great faith in my experience and my decisions, but when I reach Islamabad, one thing should be on my mind. He is different from his predecessors and he will never ignore or tolerate terrorism and there should never be any doubt about this stand. Jaishankar has written that while dealing with the border dispute with China, Prime Minister Modi showed the requisite patience and this included the resolution that the Line of Actual Control will not be allowed to be changed unilaterally.
The allegations in the book were dismissed
Directly referring to the standoff between China and India in eastern Ladakh, he said that leadership and determination were equally visible even during the deployment of forces in challenging conditions on the China border. The effective response of our armed forces in the year 2020 is a story in itself. Opposition parties have been continuously accusing the government of not giving information about the reality of China’s incursion. These allegations have been refuted in the book. Jaishankar wrote in the book that as Foreign Secretary and then Foreign Minister, he was associated with the destruction of militant positions on the Myanmar border in 2015, the surgical strikes in 2016, the Doklam standoff in 2017 and the strong retaliation on the Ladakh border from 2020. Huh.
He wrote that on all these occasions, everyone saw the way of taking decisions with a deep understanding of the complexities on the ground. Jaishankar has written that Modi’s approach is not just to give a momentary response, but for the first time there have been serious and holistic efforts to build effective infrastructure on the border. He wrote that since 2014 the budget has been more than doubled. The completion of roads has also almost doubled in the year 2014-21 as compared to the year 2008-14. In the same period, the work of completing the bridges tripled, while the tunnel construction has also accelerated.
