Two dedicated corridors of DFC are being built. One corridor is being built from Bengal to Punjab and another from Dadri to Mumbai.
After the formation of DFC, this is the first time that a military train has passed through here.
Reaching important places on time has been the biggest challenge, but this difficult task has now been made easier by the efforts of the Dedicated Freight Corridor of Indian Railways. Recently, for the first time a military train has been passed on the DFC route. According to sources, the speed of this train is 65 kilometers per hour.
On June 14, the military train from New Rewari to New Phulera was successfully tested by operating on the DFC track. If sources are to be believed, 35 army wagons were engaged in it. This is very important from a strategic point of view. After the formation of DFC, this is the first time that a military train has passed through here.
time saving
According to sources, the purpose of this exercise was also to know that if this distance is covered by the normal route in the same time, then how much time it takes. Along with this, how much time will be saved by taking the DFC route. According to sources, the results of the trial have been very encouraging.
65 kmph speed
Two dedicated corridors of DFC are being built. One corridor is being built from Bengal to Punjab and another from Dadri to Mumbai. According to railway sources, the military train can reach from one place to another through the DFC corridor within just 24 hours. If a military train has to go from Bengal to Punjab in the current situation, then it takes at least 12 to 16 days. On a normal track, this loaded military train runs at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. But the military train running at a speed of 65 kmph on the track of DFC has created history.
A big help to the armed forces
Such tracks will play a big role in the mobilization of the army in the coming days. If sources are to be believed, the Indian Army has started talks with the DFC regarding the movement of the army. For this, infrastructure development is being formalized at some places to validate the movement of Defense owned rolling stock on roll-on and roll-off service.
