Responding to the Chhattisgarh government’s proposal, the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) has shown its willingness to hold talks with the government, albeit with conditions, including the release of jailed leaders and the withdrawal of security forces from the conflict-torn region.

The Maoists are ready for peace talks with the Bhupesh government of Chhattisgarh, but for this they have put many conditions, reacting to the proposal of the Chhattisgarh government, the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) talks with the government. However, for this, many conditions are included, including the release of jailed leaders and the withdrawal of security forces from the conflict-torn area. However, a state minister has said that even if there is any dialogue, it will be unconditional.

In fact, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had said about a month ago that the government is ready for talks with the rebels if they express faith in the Constitution. In response to this, a statement was issued by the Maoists on social media on Friday, in which it was said that the CM is doing double standard, on one hand he extends his hand for talks and on the other hand he is conducting air strikes. The Maoists said the chief minister would have to tell who had given permission for the recent air strikes.

The two-page statement, issued by the Maoists’ Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) spokesperson Vikalp, referred to the Chief Minister’s statement about the Constitution and said that the governments were violating the constitutional rights of the people. The rights given to the Gram Sabha under the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution are being violated. It was also said in the statement that we are ready for talks on the proposal given by the Chief Minister, but the government should create a favorable environment for it.

these conditions

– The ban on the party and its main organizations should be withdrawn

– Opportunity to work independently, prevent air strikes

– Security forces’ camps should be removed, security forces should be returned from conflict-prone areas

The Maoist leaders who are in jail should be released.

CM replied, said- ‘Naxalites are on the back foot’

Responding to the demands of the Maoists, CM Baghel said that if the Maoists express faith in the Constitution, then the government is ready for talks at any platform. The development schemes have won the hearts of the tribals. That is why the Naxalites are on the back foot.
