'Indian Mango Mania 2025' held in Abu Dhabi
The freshness and fragrance of Indian mangoes is now spreading in abroad as well. The Agricultural and Processed Food Product Development Authority (AAPEDA) organized the 'Indian Mango Mango Mania 2025' festival under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to promote Indian mango exports on Thursday in Abu Dhabi. Many different varieties of mango including GI tag were performed in this festival.
The event was organized in the UAE in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and Lulu Group. The main objective of this propaganda is to introduce people of the Indian community in large numbers in the areas of Yui and Gulf to be familiar with different varieties of mangoes. The mango varieties displayed included regional features, such as Banarasi Langa, Dussehri, Chausa, Sundaraja, Amrapali, Malda, Bharat Bhog, Prabha Shankar, Laxman Bhog, Mahmud Bahar, Vrindavani, Fasli and Mallika etc.
Inauguration in Lulu Hyper Market
The festival was inaugurated by India Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir at Lulu Hypermarket and Khalidia Mall. Yusuf Ali, president of the Lulu Group, was also present in this during this time in Abu Dhabi. In this program, Rohit Mishra, the counselor (trade and investment) of the Indian Embassy, Dr. C.B. Singh and many prestigious persons also attended.
Freshness of Indian mangoes now in Gulf houses too
Indian Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir said that through this festival, it will also reach the freshness of mangoes of Indian mangoes, especially Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Eastern region, and the freshness of mangoes and prosperity will also reach the houses across the Bay. He said that Lulu has been an important platform in promoting Indian yield globally and APEDA has always played an important role in connecting Indian common growers with UAE markets. At the same time, Lulu Group President Yusuf Ali said that Lulu is proud to perform India's best in UE and Gulf areas.
Apeda helped bring mangoes by air
Apeda president Abhishek Dev reiterated APEDA's commitment to increase the export of agricultural and processed food products. He said that APEDA has helped in bringing various varieties of mangoes from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh by air. He said that this initiative not only celebrates the common diversity of India, but also creates important export opportunities for Indian producers. This will benefit our farmer brothers.
Apart from fruits, performance was also done
Apart from the performance of fresh fruits, many sweets and views made of mangoes were also included in this festival. It included sweets like bakery, mango pastry, Swiss rolls, cake. Apart from this, many delicious dishes like Manbazha Paasam, Mango Casserole, Mango Fish Curry added beauty to it. Mango fritters, chaat, raita and mango juice, smoothie, jam and jelly etc. were also performed in snacks and salads, which reflect the versatility of mangoes.
