After three months, daily cases have crossed the 1 thousand mark for the first time. Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Thane are witnessing an increase in corona cases, but with the positivity rate increasing in other districts, we can expect a rise in cases in other districts.
Corona cases increased in 9 districts
He said that there has been an increase in the number of new cases in nine districts as compared to last week. In view of this, steps need to be taken to control Corona. Dr Vyas said that the state cannot sit with its hands on its hands and everyone needs to be careful. As you may be aware, patients with BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants have been found recently in Maharashtra. Though there has not been any complication related to the cases, but we need to be careful about any kind of situation. On Friday, 1134 new corona cases were registered, while three people died. Of the new cases, 763 were from Mumbai.
These actions should be taken to understand the many patterns and possible variations:
- Analyze positive cases with respect to time, place and person (age, gender and other information) from time to time so that a localized action plan can be prepared. Geographical distribution of cases is important for cluster detection.
- Keep an eye on the overall clinical spectrum of cases.
- Analyze the ratio of periodic infection and re-infection cases.
