Earlier, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials met senior Mumbai Police officials and complained that they were being chased by Mumbai Police officers in the last few days. Sameer Wankhede had complained to the DGP on Monday, in which he said that two police officers were chasing me. Sameer Wankhede has said in his complaint that many people dressed in civil clothes were chasing him.

Home Minister Patil clarified

While talking to the media on this whole matter, Home Minister Walse-Patil said, the government has not given any order to the police or the state intelligence department to chase Sameer Wankhede. I have heard that he has complained to the DGP. We will look into this. The Home Minister said, I don’t think the police is keeping an eye on him. Another Narcotics Control Bureau official had claimed on Monday that two officers of Oshiwara police station allegedly visited a graveyard in the area where Samir Wankhede’s mother was buried after her death in 2015. . Simultaneously, both the police officers collected CCTV footage.

On the other hand, police officials said that Wankhede regularly visits this graveyard. The officer had said that the NCB’s regional director had then lodged a complaint that his movements were being monitored and provided CCTV footage of the Oshiwara graveyard in support of his claim. NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede had also investigated the 2020 drug case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Wankhede has also submitted evidence of CCTV footage along with his complaint. He has also alleged that other officials of the Mumbai NCB team are being ‘tracked’.
