A 17-year-old boy died in 2018 under suspicious circumstances in a colony named Dharavi Slum Mumbai. After the death of him three years ago, his funeral will now take place (Cremation after 2.5 years). In fact, in July 2018, a 17-year-old boy died under suspicious circumstances in Dharavi Basti, which is called Asia’s biggest slum. The family of the dying boy could not believe that how could his boy sleep in sudden death in a moving condition? The family members alleged that their son died due to police beatings.
Because of this, the family was adamant on demanding a post-mortem again. Since then, his dead body was kept in the marquetry. For two and a half years, the boy was waiting for his last rites even after his death. His wait is over now. Till two and a half years after his death, the shroud was lying in Morchery, but combustion was not destined. Now his funeral will be done after the decision of the court. After which, his family members say that no one should ever have to wait so long for the funeral after death.
Waiting for two and a half years, will now be performed
Actually, in July 2018, in a mobile theft case, the policemen detained the deceased boy. The boy’s name was Sachin Jaiswar and he was 17 years of age at that time. The family alleges that without any FIR, the police took their son away and tortured them by keeping them in custody. After this, when the family begged the policemen for mercy, their boy was released. When that boy was taken to the hospital, he died as soon as he reached there. Sachin’s father was adamant on registering an FIR against the police officers. But in the post mortem report, pneumonia has been attributed to Sachin’s death.
The post-mortem is being done again by the court’s order
The family did not believe the post-mortem report. After which he took the matter to court. Now post-mortem is being done after the court order. The court has ordered that the dean of JJ Hospital set up a new team and get Sachin’s mastermind done again. Also, there will not be those doctors in this team who were involved in the previous post-mortem. After this, the post-mortem report will be submitted with the dean’s signature. After this, Sachin’s body will be handed over to the family members. After this, it is expected that his funeral will be completed on Tuesday, April 6.
