Even before the announcement of free vaccination by the Chief Minister, NCP and Shiv Sena leaders are taking credit for this and the Congress is angry with this.
Congress angry at NCP, Shiv Sena’s loot for taking credit on free vaccine.
Vaccination of all people above 18 years is starting from May 1 across the country. In Maharashtra (Maharashtra Corona Vaccination), 1 May is celebrated as Maharashtra Day. On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, free vaccine is being given as a gift to the public. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey (CM Uddhav Thackrey) has not announced it yet but the politics of taking credit has started on giving free vaccine by Shiv Sena and NCP. The Congress is angry with this. Congress leader and Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat has strongly resented the move of Shiv Sena and NCP leaders.
Talking to the media, Balasaheb Thorat said that our role regarding free vaccination is clear. Our leader Sonia Gandhi has placed the demand of giving the vaccine free for the first time. It is our belief from the beginning that vaccines should be given to people for free. In Congress-ruled Rajasthan, Punjab and Chhattisgarh, it is being given only for free. We have conveyed our talk in this regard to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and we are sure that this demand will be accepted.
Congress did not like the fight to rob the credit
Congress leader and Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat further said that if anyone expresses this decision to take credit before the Chief Minister’s announcement, then it is wrong. We did not like it. The Congress expresses its displeasure over the move. The battle to rob the credit for the decision to be given a vaccine for free is beginning. This is not fair in any way. It should be announced on behalf of the Chief Minister. Anybody get up and declare it to take credit, it is not right.
Former Mumbai Congress president Sanjay Nirupam also objected
Prior to Balasaheb Thorat, former Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam also objected to the announcement of the state government’s decision to provide the vaccine free of cost by NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik instead of the Chief Minister. He tweeted that in Maharashtra, the government is running three parties and NCP is announcing the grant of free vaccine alone. It seemed a bit strange. This decision is correct, but will the government announce it or a constituent party? In a severe epidemic, the politics of taking credit seems to be cheap.
What did NCP spokesman Nawab Malik say?
Talking to the media, NCP spokesman and Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik had informed about the decision of free vaccination for the people of the state. He had said that there was a discussion in this regard in the last cabinet meeting. In this meeting, it has been decided to give free vaccine to the people of the state by consensus. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeen has also given his consent in this regard. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has also clarified this on Saturday. Also, there is no shortage of vaccine, so Ajit Pawar has also said that global tenders will be brought to buy the vaccine. Nawab Malik said all these things in a conversation with the media on Sunday.
Aditya Thackeray first tweeted, then deleted
After Nawab Malik’s announcement, Environment Minister and Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray had also announced the tweet to be given free vaccine. He wrote while tweeting that the state government has decided to give free vaccine to the people of the state. Taking our duty, we have taken this important decision. After this, Aditya Thackeray deleted this tweet in a short time. After this, the BJP made a lot of comments on this act of Aditya Thackeray.
BJP gave taunts on Aditya Thackeray’s actions
BJP leader Gopichand Padalkar said that it was a pleasure to read the tweet of Aditya Thackeray, the great minister of the Bighadi government. But he immediately forgot this promise (free vaccination). You call yourself the heir of the Hindu Hridayasamrat Balasaheb Thackeray. It is your expectation that you will not withdraw the decision to provide free vaccine for the whole of Maharashtra in the context of bargaining politics.
