Along with this, huge crowds are being seen outside the supermarket. People are afraid of lockdown. On Sunday, 57,074 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the state. This is the largest figure ever in a day. At the same time, 222 corona infected have died in the last 24 hours.
The Maharashtra government has announced a weekend lockdown till April 30 in view of the increasing cases of corona. Now the lockdown will continue in the state from Friday 8 am to 7 am Monday. While the night curfew will continue from 8 am to 7 pm daily. With this, the government has released new guidelines regarding the corona virus.
This is how weekend lockdown will apply
These guidelines will be applicable from 8 pm to 30 April on Monday 5 April. The rules related to these restrictions, which started after ‘Mission Bigen’, have been named ‘Break the Chain’. Under these rules, weekend lockdown has been imposed in the state. This complete lockdown will continue from 8 pm Friday night to 7 am Monday. Apart from this, night curfew has been imposed in the weekdays from 8 am to 7 am and section 144 has been imposed in the day. That is, more than 5 people will not be able to gather together in one place.
By imposing these restrictions, care has been taken on the one hand that the economy of the state is not damaged and the laborers and working people are not disturbed, on the other hand, the emphasis has been laid on closing down the crowded places. Work related to farming, public and private transport services will continue, only private offices, cinemas and congested places will be closed.
