In view of the increasing corona crisis in Maharashtra, students of 9th and 11th can be promoted to the next class without taking the exam. On this issue, on Wednesday, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad can take a final decision after discussing with the Chief Minister. Sources were quoted as saying that School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad held a meeting with officials of the Education Department and the state board on Tuesday through video conferencing. In the meeting, he sought the opinion of the officers that how the examinations can be conducted in the present situation.
Most of the senior officers have given the opinion that at least 9th and 11th students should be promoted to the next class without taking the exam and the whole study should be done in preparation for the 10th and 12th examinations.
First to eighth examination has already been canceled
Earlier, the education department of the state government has already canceled the examination from first to eighth. School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has already announced that students from first to eighth will be promoted to the next class without taking the exam. Similar decision is likely to be taken for the students of 9th and 11th also. It is believed that the decision related to the students of 9th and 11th will be taken today and how to conduct the 10th and 12th examinations, it will be clear in the next two-three days. According to the information given by the sources, Varsha Gaikwad has given such a hint in the meeting.
Due to the crisis of Corona, this time admission in 11th class was started quite late. Admission has been going on for the last few weeks. Because of this the syllabus could not be completed. Throughout the year, without lectures or half-incomplete lectures have been done.
10th-12th examination will be offline
According to the things that are coming out of Tuesday’s meeting, in the meeting there was an opinion about the 10th-12th examination to be taken offline only. Therefore, after the meeting of School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad with the Chief Minister, there is hardly any possibility of any change in it. But the final decision will be made only after meeting the Chief Minister.
