According to the information, Kalicharan Maharaj stayed at Bageshwar Dham Hotel in Khajuraho. Earlier on December 27, he stayed at Pallavi Hotel. In the CCTV video found here, Kalicharan Maharaj was seen eating food and going there. At the same time, in Bageshwar Dham, he rented a simple room for Rs 300. The size of this room was 8 by 10 and its roof was not paved, but covered with steel sheet. At that time 6 companions were also present with him. There were also two women among them.
Kalicharan Maharaj’s room was booked in the name of Raju
According to the information, his room was booked in the name of Raju. He himself took room numbers 103, 109 and 112 for himself and his companions. Before the arrival of Kalicharan Maharaj, the police had also camped at the same place. No one was aware of this, because the police was in civil. The police waited for Maharaj all night by lighting a bonfire and as soon as Baba came at three o’clock he was surrounded. The police of Chhattisgarh left with Baba at around 4 in the morning.
Madhya Pradesh government told the arrest against the federal structure
After the arrest of Kalicharan Maharaj, politics has now heated up on this matter. The Congress government of Chhattisgarh and the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh have come face to face with the arrest of Kalicharan. The Madhya Pradesh government has raised objections to the arrest of Kalicharan. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has raised questions on the action of the Chhattisgarh Police. He termed the arrest proceedings as wrong and against the federal structure. At the same time, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel justified the action of the police.
