Some doctors have also strongly opposed this act of the hospital. Some have also raised questions on this. A doctor has also alleged on social media that one lakh rupees are being taken for anti-fungal injection of five thousand.
Token picture.
Even in this time of epidemic in Madhya Pradesh, private hospitals are not leaving any chance to earn their profits. In the guise of black fungus disease spreading in the state, hospitals are handing out huge bills to fill their pockets. This happened to one patient at CHL Hospital in Indore. A patient admitted here was made an estimate of 50 lakh rupees for the treatment of black fungus. Seeing such a huge amount, not only the patients but also the doctors and nurses were surprised.
However, some doctors have strongly opposed this act of the hospital. Some have also raised questions on this. A doctor has also alleged on social media that one lakh rupees are being taken for anti-fungal injection of five thousand.
The patient has already had two surgeries
Pankaj Gupta is the name of the patient in CHL Hospital, who was given this long wide estimate. Pankaj’s nose and brain have two surgeries so far. Seeing the estimate of the hospital, the ENT specialist there also says that it does not cost so much. Most of the injection costs only, the rest is endoscopic surgery. At the same time, CHL hospital management is not ready to say anything about this.
‘Husbands are lonely earners’
Pankaj is the only earner in his house. His wife Anshu Gupta told that after recovering from the corona, the husband had a black fungal infection. She stood outside the office of the Dean of the Medical College from morning to evening for the infection of black fungus, even then only 5 injections were received, whereas 16 injections are being done everyday. Anshu and Pakanj have two daughters.
All the savings were spent
Pankaj is the only person in his household to earn. In his illness, at this time he is getting an injection of one lakh rupees. His wife says that whatever was added was spent in the treatment of her husband. He told that an injection of Rs. 2.5 thousand is being received from the Medical College, but only 5 injections are being received from the Medical College, the remaining injections have to be purchased from the market for 12 to 13 thousand rupees. The husband has to be injected for 28 days. There are still 20 days to be injected.
