Wheat procurement being done from March 28
This time in Madhya Pradesh, except Ujjain, wheat was to be procured in the rest of the districts of the state only till May 15, which has now been increased. This time due to higher rate than MSP in the open market, there has been a decrease in government procurement across the country. At the same time, due to the increase in temperature in March itself, there has been a decline in the yield of wheat. Due to both these reasons, there has been much less procurement of wheat in Madhya Pradesh as compared to last year. Last year, a total of more than 1 crore 29 lakh tonnes of wheat was procured in the state at MSP. Wheat is being procured in the state from March 28.
