Consensus was not being made on the name of the candidate on Khandwa seat
If sources are to be believed, in Khandwa Lok Sabha seat, BJP has had to struggle hard to agree on the name of the candidate. Even till the last moment, BJP was not able to decide who to field as a candidate from this seat. The names of Dnyaneshwar Patil, Rajpal Singh Tomar, Harsh Singh Chauhan and Archana Chitnis were named for this seat in the panel. However, the state organization wanted to field an OBC candidate from this seat. In such a situation, the name of Dnyaneshwar Patil has been finalised.

After 25 years BJP has played bets on OBC face
Former District Panchayat President Dnyaneshwar Patil will be contesting from Khandwa Lok Sabha seat. This happened after 25 years, when BJP has played bets on OBC. From 1996 to 2019, BJP made Nandkumar Singh Chauhan a continuous candidate on this seat. But after his death, BJP has to face great difficulties in selecting the candidate for this seat.
The state organization had sent a panel of four names to Delhi. In the list of contenders, the name of MP Nandkumar Singh’s son Harshvardhan Singh was at number one, but Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had given a statement that BJP is not a supporter of family or dynasty, it all runs in Congress. It was only after this that there were speculations that either Dnyaneshwar Patil and Rajpal Singh Tomar would get a ticket. His undeniable image is being told behind Patil’s ticket.
