The lockdown has been announced in Jharkhand from December 6 to January 1. The message related to this is going viral on Twitter. Since then it became a topic of discussion among the people of the state and people also started getting upset. In the viral message, a tweet named Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the lockdown has been announced till January 1 in view of the new coronavirus variant Omron.

After the message went viral, the Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Office on Saturday (December 4) said that the screenshot of the message announcing the lockdown is a ‘fake post’ and clarified that no such decision has been taken by the state government. Hemant Soren’s office said on Twitter, “This screenshot of Hon’ble CM Hemant Soren’s Twitter account is a fake post. It is reiterated that no such decision has been taken by the State Government on the COVID-19 lockdown. Regarding the viral message, Jharkhand Police has been instructed to register an FIR, identify the miscreants and take action.

The fake screenshot also claimed that all schools, colleges, institutions and religious places would remain closed from December 6 to January 1 in view of the Omron version.

Meanwhile, India on Saturday reported two more cases of the Omron variant. A 72-year-old NRI man from Gujarat and a 33-year-old man from Maharashtra were found to be infected with the new strain after coming from the “at-risk” countries of Zimbabwe and South Africa. With this, the total number of people infected with the new variant Omicron of corona virus in the country has gone up to four.

Hospital on alert mode in Ranchi

In view of Omicron in Ranchi, hospitals have been asked to be ready on alert mode. Instructions have been given to complete the preparations in RIMS regarding the new variant Omicron of Corona. Let us inform that the beds present in the temporary COVID ward already built in the hospital have become rusty. In view of this, the RIMS management has given instructions for dyeing the rusted beds. In view of the possibility of Omicron variant, a temporary ward is being prepared. Here a 20-bed isolation ward is being prepared in the fourth floor of Sadar Hospital.
