Jharkhand Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme 2022 for farmers in Jharkhand was announced by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on 15 August 2021. He had said that under this scheme the loans of all small and marginal farmers of Jharkhand would be waived off. To waive off the loans of farmers, a provision of two thousand crore rupees has been kept by the state government in this budget. The Jharkhand government claims that the number of farmers in the state is 58 lakhs.
Five lakh farmers have taken loan
According to media reports, five lakh farmers have taken loans in Jharkhand. Most of these farmers’ loans are through credit cards. The Jharkhand government is trying to waive their loans under the loan waiver scheme. For this, the state government has released the list of beneficiary farmers under the Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme.

Loan up to 50 thousand rupees will be waived
Hemant Soren, while announcing Farmer Loan Waiver 2022, had said that this time the benefit of this scheme will be given to those farmers of Jharkhand who took loan up to Rs 50 thousand and their entire outstanding amount is 50 thousand. In such a situation, his entire loan will be forgiven. If a farmer has taken a loan of more than 50 thousand, then 50 thousand rupees of that farmer will be waived and the farmers will have to pay the amount above that. Under the Jharkhand Kisan Loan Waiver Scheme, only an amount up to 50 thousand rupees will be waived.
These documents are necessary
Apart from this, the loans of small and marginal farmers who have taken loans up to Rs 50,000 will be waived off. Apart from this, farmers cultivating traditional crops, sugarcane and fruits will also get the benefit of this scheme. To take advantage of this scheme, the applicant farmer should be a local resident of Jharkhand. To avail the benefits, they have to submit their own Aadhar card, local resident certificate, identity card, bank account passbook, mobile number and passport size photograph.
