These days Shikha in village Pawta of Faridabad in Haryana is a vermi compost (Vermicompost) and is doing the work of making organic manure. Shikha while talking to NewsNCR told that before that she was in the development sector, in about 15 years she worked for various NGOs. After long experience he decided that now some work should be done on the ground and chemical free farming (Chemical Free Farming) be done. Then he took land on lease for farming in a village in Faridabad and founded Kicaboni Organic Company.
On this farm, she is making earthworm manure on about 120 beds. This compost gets ready in 45 to 60 days. While making earthworm manure, special care has to be taken of water, sunlight. For making beds for the first time, you need earthworms, dung and crop residues like paddy straw.
Along with manure, the number of earthworms also keeps increasing day by day. Shikha told that she has made a farming model on her farm, in which she does organic farming. She uses vermi compost prepared at her unit in agriculture. Along with this, she is also working to make the regional farmers aware about organic farming. His effort is that more and more people do organic farming and keep themselves healthy along with the environment.
He told that in today’s era there are many people in the market who claim to earn lakhs of rupees overnight in this area, which is not possible on the ground. Time is needed to start this work and make it successful. He says that he got a new experience in this work which was very challenging for him, he had no experience of farming, he started this journey only with determination and today he is climbing the ladder of success.
Giving a message to the youth of the country, Shikha said that people should come forward in the field of organic farming and agriculture because in today’s era the demand for poison free food items is increasing in the market, and it is a profitable work. The only condition is that it takes time.
