RJD chief Yadav’s lawyer Prabhat Kumar said that the bail bond for the former chief minister is to be filled in the special CBI court, but due to the directive of the State Bar Council, the lawyers are not involved in judicial work. He said that till the bar council does not lift the ban on the involvement of lawyers in the court proceedings, Yadav is not likely to come out of judicial custody.
Bar Council again banned judicial work till May 2

Lalu Yadav is in jail since 23 December 2017
Yadav got bail on April 17 from the Jharkhand High Court in the Dumka treasury case. At that time, his lawyer Devarshi Mandal had expressed confidence that the bail bond would be filled by Yadav on April 19 in a special CBI court and he would be released from judicial custody. Yadav has been in jail since December 23, 2017, after being convicted by a special CBI court here in a case of embezzlement of approximately Rs 89 lakh from the Deoghar treasury. He has already got bail in three other cases related to the fodder scam. 73-year-old Yadav is undergoing treatment at the Delhi AIIMS in judicial custody.
