After the Supreme Court’s strict remarks in the Lakhimpur Violence case of Uttar Pradesh, the Special Investigation Committee (SIT) set up to investigate the matter started fast-tracking the eyewitnesses. In fact, on October 3, there was a hearing in the Supreme Court regarding the violence in Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri district and the court had expressed displeasure over the working style of the Uttar Pradesh government. After which now the SIT has accelerated the pace of its investigation in this case and has also started the investigation of the witnesses. For this, the SIT has now issued the mobile numbers of the officers and appealed that the eyewitnesses of the incident should come forward and record their statements.
The SIT has issued numbers for this and said that the eyewitnesses will provide evidence and information to the SIT. Their information will be kept confidential and they will be provided security by the police. In fact, after the violence that took place in Tikunia area of Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3, the state government had constituted an SIT to investigate. The number issued by the SIT belongs to the head of the SIT.

Till now the SIT chief was Upendra Kumar Agarwal. Whose transfer has been transferred by the state government to the post of DIG of Devipatan Mandal. SIT has issued mobile number 9454400454. Along with this, the SIT has released the mobile numbers of Sunil Kumar Singh, Arun Kumar Singh and Vidyaram Diwakar and Sudhir Chandra Pandey.

The SIT has started searching the eyewitnesses present on the spot in this case to expedite the matter. Therefore, he has made his submission that if any eyewitness wants to record his evidence in relation to this incident, then he can approach the SIT.
