It has been said in the notification that the Governor is of the opinion that it is necessary to investigate the death of 8 people in Lakhimpur Kheri on 3rd October. For which retired Allahabad High Court judge appoints Pradeep Kumar Srivastava as a single-member inquiry commission. The Commission of Inquiry shall complete its inquiry within a period of two months from the date of issue of notification. Any change in its duration will be done by the government.
