Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) through video conference. On August 15 last year, the Prime Minister had announced the pilot project of the National Digital Health Campaign from the ramparts of the Red Fort. At present, this scheme is being implemented in six union territories in the initial phase. NDHM is being launched along with the third anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

People without mobile can get their health ID card made at these centers. This digital health card will help in protecting against this. It will also be convenient to give subsidy etc. for treatment. By making ‘Ayushman card’ of these people in the country, health facilities were reached to them.
