Police probing the murder of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh worker in Palakkad, Kerala on Tuesday arrested another functionary of the Popular Front of India in this case. This is the second arrest in this case. Police said the arrested PFI functionary was directly involved in the murder of RSS worker S Sanjeet on November 15 at Mambaram in the district. The identities of the arrested persons have not been revealed as the police investigation team wants to parade the identities of the accused.
This is the second arrest in connection with the crime in the last two days. The worker is the field level officer of PFI. The apprehension comes after the arrest of an office-bearer of the Popular Front of India (PFI) on Monday night. RSS worker S Sanjeet was allegedly murdered by activists of the PFI’s political wing Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) on November 15. According to the police, when he was traveling on a motorcycle with his wife, the deceased was found on the way and attacked. Further investigation is being done.
Wife can identify the accused
At the same time, an official of the Popular Front of India (PFI) was arrested in this case on Monday. Let us tell you that the victim’s wife had said that she can identify the people who had killed her husband Sanjeet by coming in the car. Police had said that Sanjeet (27) was murdered on November 15 when he was taking his wife to their workplace. Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and demanded a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the murder.
In a letter to Amit Shah, the BJP leader had alleged that 10 RSS-BJP workers were killed in Kerala by alleged jihadi groups in the last five years. He alleged that around 50 Sangh Parivar workers have been killed by jihadi groups in the state so far. Police had said that, ‘Sanjeet, a resident of Ellapalli area of Kerala state, was stabbed more than 50 times. . After the murder, there is tension in the area and the police is keeping a close watch on everything. After the incident, investigation has been started to trace the accused who fled from the spot.
