Anannyah Kumari Alex said, “I am facing discrimination and sexual harassment on behalf of the Democratic Social Justice Party (DSJP), so I have decided not to contest.”
Ananya Kumari Alex
Anannyah Kumari Alex, the first transgender candidate to contest Kerala assembly elections, has now decided not to contest. Explaining the reason behind this, Ananya said that she has been given severe mental torture and threatened to kill her life by the leaders of the Democratic Social Justice Party (DSJP). Ananya was contesting from Vengara constituency (Vengara, Malappuram) in Malappuram district on a DSJP ticket.
Ananya, 28, is a candidate against PK Kunhalikutty, a senior leader of the Indian Union Muslim League, who represents the United Democratic Front (UDF) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate P Jiji. Ananya said that she filed a police complaint against the DSJP and the leaders who harassed her. Ananya has decided to end her election campaign, although the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers has passed.
Ananya Alex made these allegations
Ananya said, “I have decided not to contest because I am facing discrimination and sexual harassment on behalf of the Democratic Social Justice Party.” They are trying to play games with me for campaigning. ” He added, “DSJP leaders forced me to speak wrongly about UDF candidate PK Kunhalikutty and criticize the LDF government. With this, the party leaders also forced me to wear the burqa during the election campaign, which I flatly refused. At this DSJP leaders threatened to kill me. “
Alex appeals not to vote for DSJP
He said, “I was used on behalf of the leaders of the Democratic Social Justice Party. Party leaders have insulted him. I have a personality and I have my own opinion. I am not ready to surrender. ” With this, Alex has appealed to the people of Kerala not to vote for DSJP. He said, “Do not vote for DSJP. Now I am not a part of that party. Due to sexual harassment and verbal harassment, I have stopped my election campaign in Vengara. Hope I get justice soon. “
