Jawalkar has urged the pilgrims visiting Kedarnath to book the tickets for the heli service from the official website of GMVN. For this journey, the fare for two-way heli service will be around Rs 5000. Shuttle service will be available for Dham from three places in Rudraprayag district. Swati Bhadauria, Managing Director of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) said that helpline numbers 0135-2746817 and 2431793 have been issued for booking 70 percent tickets of the heli service.
The doors of Hemkund Sahib will open on May 22
At the same time, the doors of Hemkund Sahib, the main pilgrimage of Sikhs, which is recognized as the fifth Dham in Uttarakhand, will be opened for devotees on May 22 at 10:30 am. Narendrajit Singh Bindra, Vice President of Hemkund Sahib Trust said that snow covered roads around Hemkund Sahib Gurdwara have been opened. The trust has made proper arrangements for langar-beds in all the gurdwaras so that the devotees do not face any kind of problem during the journey. The servicemen of the trust will be stationed in the service of the devotees at various places on the journey route. In case of any kind of medical problem, an ambulance will also be available standing at Govindghat, in which an MBBS doctor and pharmacist will also be posted in the service of the patients. He said that this time the number of devotees is expected to increase.
