A candle light protest was taken out on Wednesday by local organizations and some corporators near Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk, Srinagar over the killings of three civilians in the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday. This protest was named ‘Aakhir Kab Tak’ and the question was asked by him that till when such killings would be stopped. Meanwhile, the president of Amarnath Ji Welfare Society, Srinagar district, Pandit Nanna Ji Dembi said, “Today’s protest is against the three murders that took place yesterday. How long will we have to wait for such incidents to stop. Hindu, Muslim and Sikh brotherhood was here from the beginning and we want to live with brotherhood in future also.
Aaqib Renju, a corporator of SMC, said that after all, this campaign named Kab Tak was started a few months ago to raise voice against the killings of unarmed people. He said that ML Bindru was killed, sumo driver and gol gappawala were killed, what was their fault. Aaqib said that we will continue to raise our voice behind such killings at all times. He said that Pakistan carries out such incidents because it does not want that there should be peace here. Another woman corporator said that carrying out such incidents does not amount to freedom and jihad. He said that we all live in brotherhood and want to live in future also. Let us tell you that during this time tribute was paid to those killed by lighting candles and during this time the slogans of Hindu-Muslim Bhai Bhai were also raised.
Three terrorist attacks in the valley within an hour
Let us inform that three separate terrorist attacks were carried out in Jammu and Kashmir within an hour late on Tuesday evening. In which three civilians died. The first attack was on a well-known pharmacy businessman. After that a street hawker was gunned down by terrorists in Madin Sahib, Srinagar. The third attack took place in Bandipora district. Here the terrorists shot and killed a common citizen. The areas concerned have been cordoned off and search operations are on in these areas.
Kashmir Zone Police has said that terrorists opened fire on Makhan Lal, owner of Bindru Medicate near Iqbal Park in Srinagar. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. The area has been cordoned off. A search operation is being conducted to nab the terrorists.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha strongly condemned the killing of civilians
The terrorists opened fire near Madin Sahib in Hawal on the outskirts of Srinagar city. He killed the street hawker. This is the second terrorist attack on civilians in Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, ‘Strongly condemn the killing of 3 civilians by terrorists in Srinagar and Bandipora.
