Carpets made in Shashwat Pandey’s unit are exported to many other countries around the world including America, UK, Germany since last 40 years. Like other industries during COVID, the carpet industry was also badly affected. But, Shashwat also found an opportunity in this disaster and formed Trisagar Former Producer Company.
Shashwat has connected 250 farmers together
Shashwat took full advantage of the policies of the Uttar Pradesh government to form his company and in just 6 months, added 250 farmers with him. Shashwat visits these farmers with his team at regular intervals and buys their crops from them. After purchasing the crops from the farmers, according to the demand in the foreign market, they pack and export them according to their set criteria. In the last 3 months, Shashwat has sent five consignments to Dubai and Sharjah.
Indian vegetables in huge demand in gulf countries
Till now he has exported Mango Bhindi Mircha and Zucchini. After exporting this consignment, his customers abroad say that there is a huge demand for other vegetables too, which can be met in the Gulf countries only through exports from India. The officials of the Agriculture Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh are constantly in touch with Shashwat and other entrepreneurs like him to see how they can engage more and more farmers and become a means of their livelihood.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored
Seeing this effort of Shashwat Pandey, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also honored him on Sunday. Let us tell you that there is a completely transparent process of exporting the produce of farmers abroad, which is also monitored by the teams constituted by the government. The biggest advantage of this is that farmers can directly know what quality product they want to grow and accordingly they work in their fields.
Shashwat became the first entrepreneur of the district to export farmers’ products
According to the District Agriculture Officer, Shashwat is the first such entrepreneur of Bhadohi district who is directly exporting the produce of farmers to Gulf countries. It is worth mentioning that the carpet city of Bhadohi is famous for the world famous carpet. For the last few years, efforts have been made at every level for the carpet industry and now alternative means have been arranged for the livelihood of the people here in the export of agricultural products.
