In the midst of intensifying politics of caste census, former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has said that when donkeys can be counted, then why not count the castes of humans?

Hindustani Awam Morcha patriarch and former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, while sharing the news of a newspaper, tweeted that “Donkeys can be counted in a caste based country but castes cannot be counted? Manjhi further wrote in the tweet- Some people fear that if the castes are counted, then the world will know who has stopped the development of the country by entitlement of us.
72 hours ultimatum to Nitish government
Earlier, Bihar’s leader Patipaksha Tejashwi Yadav has given an ultimatum of 72 hours to the Nitish government on the caste census and asked it to clarify its stand on the caste census. Tejashwi Yadav has said that Nitish Kumar will have to immediately call a cabinet meeting and take a decision on conducting caste census in Bihar. He said that he is ready to hit the road if his demands are not accepted. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav said that an atmosphere of division and tension is being created in the country. Issues like inflation, migration, poor, unemployment, caste census, special package to Bihar are not being discussed.
Said earlier I will go to Delhi on foot
Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav had said on Monday that the proposal of caste census has been passed twice in Bihar from the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. But the central government of BJP is not paying attention to it. He said that after this we have no choice left. Therefore, he will travel on foot from Patna to Delhi to demand the conduct of caste census. Mukesh Sahni has also said about Tejashwi Yadav’s support for this journey.
