Jharkhand (Jharkhand) Governor-cum-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Universities Governor Ramesh Bais the university (Universities) has ordered for immediate appointment on the vacant posts of office bearers. He said that it is not proper for any university to have vacant posts like registrar, deputy registrar, examination controller, finance officer. He said that there should be a permanent arrangement in the university so that they are fully responsible for their work. The Governor was reviewing the academic and administrative activities of the state universities at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. Principal Secretary to Governor Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Chairman of Jharkhand Public Service Commission Amitabh Choudhary, Principal Secretary, Finance Ajay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Personnel, Vandana Dadel, Secretary, Building Construction Department Sunil Kumar and Vice Chancellors of various universities were present in the meeting. .
The governor said that the problems are still there. Higher and Technical Education Department, Personnel Department, Jharkhand Public Service Commission will have to speed up their work. Jharkhand Public Service Commission needs to speed up the recruitment process. There should also be financial resources in the interest of the student. He said that he was not satisfied with the progress made in the universities in these three months. Less than just assurance will not work, everyone will have to work with commitment in the interest of the student at any cost. He said that whatever things happened today, issues were raised, problems were told and you people listened, work on them seriously, just giving assurances will not work. He said that I want results, I am saying this with all seriousness.
Emphasis on timely conduct of examination and release of results
While reviewing the chancellor’s portal, the Governor said that the colleges should cooperate in this and make it effective. He should prepare the academic session for the next session soon. He said that the examinations should be conducted on time in the universities and the results of the examinations should be released so that the academic session does not become a hindrance in appearing in any competitive examination. If the Governor does not conduct the convocation on time by the universities, then send the university degree to his home. Students should not face any problem due to delay in convocation. While discussing digitization in all educational institutions, he said that all educational institutions should be equipped with Wi-Fi.
Emphasis on raising the standard of research in universities
The governor made the high standard of research in the university. He said that the work of financial audit should be completed in all the universities. He inquired about the updated status of Open University in the state. He also asked the state universities to do social work. He directed to send the information of all the programs being organized on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence to Raj Bhavan. While discussing with all the universities about the new education policy, he said that in this context, organize workshops and seminars.
More than 1000 posts have been approved in universities
Taking information about the progress of the construction work of the under-construction buildings, the Governor directed the building construction secretary to expedite the construction work of the under-construction buildings and transfer them to the university soon. He directed for building boundary walls in various universities/colleges. It was told in the meeting that appointments would be made on vacant administrative posts in universities soon. Also apprised that more than 1000 posts have been sanctioned in universities. While conveying the direction of roster clearance, it was said that the university would be considered as a unit in the roster clearance.
