Kashmir: Till date, Chinese pistols have been caught with arms and ammunition in the valley, but this year for the first time these pistols with Chinese pistols have been recovered in the valley. It is said that they are also lighter than the Chinese pistol.

However, this pistol was first recovered by the security forces in February this year from an OG worker in Idgah area of Srinagar. According to the police, the accused was nabbed in a plan to carry out target killings in this area. After this, these pistols were found in huge quantity at Chanpora in Srinagar on 23 May. According to the police, 15 pistols, 30 magazines, 300 cartridges and a silencer were recovered from two hybrid militants of TRF organization of Lashkar caught in a search and cordon operation.
According to sources, these 15 pistols are also made of Turkey. Although the Jammu and Kashmir Police is not saying anything officially about these pistols, but according to security experts, each and every weapon adds to the concern and challenge for the security forces in the Valley.
What is special about this pistol?
Turkish made TP9 pistol is considered to be the most successful weapon in terms of range. In this pistol, the recoil (ie the blow taken while firing) is very less, due to which the chance of the attacker to miss the target is almost zero. According to experts, this pistol is a great and suited weapon for short range attacks. One of the special features of this pistol is that it has fire load indicators i.e. when this pistol is ready for fire, an indicator behind it indicates that the pistol is loaded and can be fired.
