Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist killed in Tral (centre)
Security forces engaged in the elimination of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir have achieved another success on Wednesday. After a fierce encounter in Tral area of Awantipora, top commander of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, Sham Sofi has been killed. IGP Kashmir has disclosed about the identity of this terrorist of Jaish. This encounter started in Tilwani locality of Tral.
According to the information, the police and security forces had received information that suspected terrorists were hiding in this area. After this special operation was carried out. A fierce encounter started between the terrorists and the security forces. However, the security forces have achieved significant success in this matter. According to the information, the terrorists are hiding in a house in the residential area. Security forces have evacuated the entire area around it.
Search operation going on in the forests of Bagai
Apart from this, the security forces have also conducted a search operation in the Bagai forests in Poonch Rajouri area for the last two days. Five jawans including JCO were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Poonch area itself. Since then, the security forces are trying to find the clues of the terrorists.
5 terrorists were killed in Shopian
On Tuesday, five terrorists were killed by security forces in separate encounters in Shopian. Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter that lasted till Tuesday evening in Tulran village of Imam Sahib area. Apart from this, two terrorists were killed in Firipora area.
Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar has made it clear that terrorists will be eliminated in the Valley and the action is not going to stop soon. A day earlier, the IG of Kashmir had said that we will continue the operation against the terrorists. In recent days, terrorists have targeted civilians and killed seven people. After that we started retaliatory action. We have got success in many areas including Srinagar, Anantnag.
Terrorists trying to bring back the 90s
Actually the terrorists want to bring back the 1990 era in Kashmir. For this reason non-Muslims including Sikhs, Kashmiri Pandits are being targeted to create fear. The police has made it clear that this is a conspiracy being hatched so that fear and tension is created among the people.
