Dr. VK Paul, member of NITI Aayog.
NITI Aayog’s health member Dr. VK Paul said about the possibility of third wave that if we are disciplined, the system is disciplined, the response of the health system is good, then with personal and social responsibility we can go through the third wave (Corona). Can be safe from Third Wave). He said that it is in the hands of the people to thwart the third wave. If people adopt covid appropriate behavior and get their vaccination done, then third wave can be prevented from coming.
Paul said that the virus needs humans to survive. If we do not give the virus a chance and follow the corona protocol carefully, then the third wave will not come. He said that there are many countries where even the second wave has not come, then there are many such countries where four waves have come, so there is no rule for this. COVID outbreak can be avoided if we remain alert and do not be careless.
Dr. VK Paul said that both the availability of the vaccine and its absorption will go hand in hand. It is believed that we can go a long way from where we left in the vaccine. Now the private sector will also participate, the states which could not vaccinate more tomorrow, we have to see their capacity as well.

Best time to get this vaccine
Regarding the rumors flying about the Corona vaccine, Paul said that it is wrong to think that Indian vaccines (Kovshield and Covaxin) are not safe. Like other countries, our vaccines have also been approved under the Emergency Use Authorization. The second wave has subsided. People of different classes have taken doses of these vaccines. This is the best time to get the vaccine.
The Union Health Ministry said that on June 21, a record 88.09 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the country. The Union Health Secretary said, in this, maximum 17 lakh doses were applied in Madhya Pradesh. The ministry also said that on Monday, 63.7 percent of the total vaccination was administered in rural areas and 36 percent in urban areas.
