1 million tonnes of wheat to be exported to Egypt
In the midst of the Russo-Ukraine war, India has emerged as the largest buyer of wheat in Egypt. Egypt has signed an agreement of 10 lakh tonnes of wheat with the Government of India. Whereas till 2020-21, India used to export 54 percent of wheat to Bangladesh.
Wheat is being sold at a higher price than MSP

This year the MSP of wheat has been fixed by the government at Rs 2015 per quintal, but farmers across the country are getting wheat prices higher than the MSP.
