In the era of epidemics, people associated with essential services are constantly working. This is the reason that Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has extended the medical insurance of its front line workers for a year.
Indian Oil Petrol Pump
The second wave of Corona virus infection in the country has caused outrage. Every day record cases are coming up. Beds are not empty in hospitals. Due to lack of treatment and lack of oxygen on the bed, patients are losing their lives. To break the chain of transition, most states in the country have imposed restrictions like partial lockdown, night curfew, weekend lockdown and full lockdown. However essential services are exempted from this.
Petrol pump and LPG facilities are still operational. These services have been kept out of the purview of restrictions, so that there is no problem for cooking and other necessary activities. People associated with these services are constantly working in the time of pandemic. This is the reason that Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has extended the medical insurance of its frontline workers for a year.
Contract workers will also get the facility
Giving this information from the company’s official Twitter handle, it has been said that Indian Oil is standing firmly with its frontline workers. Station attendants, LPG delivery persons, contract workers and truck drivers working at Indian Oil’s petrol pump will now get medical insurance facility for an additional one year. In the event of the death of the frontline workers, compensation to the family members will also be given.
